Sonia Villanueva, FNP-C
Family Nurse Practitioner
Sonia Villanueva is a Family Nurse Practitioner with experience in rheumatology, hospice, behavioral health, and correctional health. She completed her AAS at Central Arizona College and her Master of Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky, in 2015. She’s a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the National Association of School Nurses, and the American College of Rheumatology.
She’s been an ambassador for her university at the yearly American Association of Nurse Practitioner Conference, has won an essay contest with the theme “Your Patient’s Health Starts with You,” and has presented at the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the “Read to Me” Conference.
She has a passion for providing care to those in need and a knack for creating treatment plans as a team with patients.
When Sonia is not working, she loves thrift shopping, reading history books, and enjoying company at hockey games or comedy shows.
Her number one reason for dedicating her professional life to caring for her patients is instilling hope and trust that we will work together on a plan for a healthier tomorrow. Once they see that change is possible, they will pass these precious gifts down to their families.
