What is the emotion that causes anger, denial, depression and more?

It’s called grief.

Our body’s natural and emotional response to the loss of someone or something.
Grief and loss are personal experiences, and it may be expressed differently between people.
 
Grief can bring up a wide range of unexpected feelings and emotions. 
It can start immediately after a loss, or it come up at a later time.  There is no right or wrong way to grieve.
Some normal feelings people experience during the grieving process can include:
▪️anger/irritability
▪️confusion/shock
▪️despair
▪️frustration
▪️guild
▪️happiness
▪️loneliness
▪️sadness

Grief can also impact our mind and body.  You may notice you are experiencing:
▪️trouble focusing
▪️memory issues
▪️difficulty organizing your thoughts/solving problems
▪️feeling overwhelmed by decisions
▪️repetitive or intrusive thoughts
▪️anxiety/panic
▪️and physical symptoms
Physical symptoms can include headaches, brain fog, consistent tightness in chest, aches and pains, changes in sleep patterns, tiredness/low energy and eating more/less food.

Tips for processing grief and accepting loss.

▪️Acknowledge your feelings
    • Example: if you feel sad and need to cry, let yourself cry.
▪️Show self-compassion
    • Treat yourself with the same kindness you’d offer a friend in a similar situation.

▪️Get good sleep
▪️Avoid unhealthy coping tools
    • Avoid alcohol/other substances
    • self-harm
    • restricting/binge eating
    • isolation
